Page 1 of 1 Local gay pop talent to release CD By By Brad Koogler / Outlook News Associate Editor Columbus pop/dance recording artist David Wood will release his first major dance album in three years April 1. Love Child From 69 will sport a mix of remade 1970s disco tunes and Wood's own erotic blend of dance music and ballads. "I'm taking everybody back to Studio 54," Wood said. "The music is a mix of retro, old-school dance tune remakes and my own stuff which is very erotic, very seductive and very danceable." The project follows a period of introspection by Wood. "I met the dark side of the industry and had to stop to get back in touch with myself," he said. "I'm starting all over again and it feels great." Love Child From 69 reflects that new energy with titles such as Born to be Alive and Shine. "I wanted to be totally carefree, youthful and take fol ks back to a time when nobody was worried about anything - and I wanted to do something erotic," Wood said. Wood currently is working on two other projects - Samhain Fires will follow in the spiritual footsteps of his album Wytch and is scheduled for completion in October. Leather is planned as another dance club CD slated for release next Spring. For more information, visit http://www.outlooknews.com/show ~rintable _ article.php?id= 181 3/27/2003
